About Ludometrics

Ludometrics makes short games for people who don't have much spare time. The games take all sorts of forms, but that's the basic aim: you can play them quickly, in short bursts, over a long period of time.

We're not an analytics platform or service. Try Mixpanel or deltaDNA for that kind of thing.

The company's partners include Big Fish Games and Denki, and we're also licensed developers & publishers for Nintendo's 3DS & Wii U, Sony's PS Vita, and Microsoft's Xbox One.

Ludometrics was founded on May 20, 2010 (which also happens to be World Metrology Day), and is based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Pronunciation: /ˈluːdəʊˈmɛtrɪks/

plural noun [treated as singular]

  1. the basic rhythmic pattern of a game, toy or plaything.
  2. the use of mathematical methods (especially statistics) in describing systems of play.

Origin: early 21st century; from Latin ludo, 'I play'; from Old French metre, with specific sense of "metrical scheme in verse," from Latin metrum.

Awards

Ludometrics has a 50% success rate in awards nominations. In July 2011, Cryptic and Ludometrics were nominated for the Arts & Business Scotland awards in two categories: Best Sponsorship by a Small Business and Best New or Returning Sponsor. In October 2011, we duly won Best Sponsorship by a Small Business!
